I love you! I wanted to let you know that no matter where you are, or how you are feeling, you are growing in your own beautiful, unique way. Through times of struggle, we need to remind ourselves that our thoughts, emotions and actions are like seeds being planted. We must try to plant good seeds, so positive things grow. We all have times where we look around our gardens, all we see is weeds, and it is hard to imagine that beautiful flowers can bloom in place of weeds. Beautiful things can and will grow where good things are planted! It may not happen over night, but when seeds are planted with good intentions, peace and love, everything that comes from them will thrive and develop beautifully. We must try to welcome life with open arms, when we do, we are able understand when it’s time to accept, and time to push for change. If we resist acceptance all together, we begin to experience difficult emotions and anguish. Everything that happens to us, positive and negative, is there to help us grow. Part of the beauty of life is that it’s unpredictable. I recognize that I am happier and more peaceful when I accept what happens to me instead of constantly fighting to change things. I love you! for those of you who don’t know… psychedelic mushrooms grow naturally in cow shit. as gross as it may sound, i think it’s a lovely metaphor for how we grow through tough times. the hardest situations often help us grow the most. with challenge comes change, and with change comes growth. it can be hard to see the good when you’re in the “shit”, but that’s why i made this poster. let it serve as a reminder that the challenges we face are gifts. whether you’re “in the shit” now, or “in the shit” later, try to remember that it’s good shit, and that good shit helps you grow.
